The Prayer Book can be found at the back of the church near the entrance.
Please use this book each week for names of people to be mentioned in our prayers during worship, and briefly highlighting the concern if necessary.
Please be sure that the individual concerned is happy
for their name to be added.
Sue and Di are having a Coffee/Tea and Cake event on Friday 16th August at Di’s house (please see Sue and Di for details) from 10am – 12noon and 2pm – 4pm.

Please note that there will be no Junior Church during the summer holidays from Sunday 21st July to Sunday 1s September.
There will be a box with activity sheets and colouring sheets in the Minister’s vestry where we have the Creche. Parents are kindly asked to supervise their children.
Thursday Contact invite you to their “Open House” on Thursday July 25th at 3pm for food, fun and fellowship.
Entrance £5 includes refreshments and a couple of “fun” guessing games with prizes. All proceeds to church funds.

The answer is ‘yes’. For those of you who like to knit through the summer months, you can begin.
Our Christmas Angels will once again bear messages of hope and be placed around our village near Christmas for our community to find.

The Wesley Guild’s next summer trip will be to the Rudyard Lake & Hotel on Saturday 10th August, 2019.

If you would like to go, could you please put your name on the list provided in the Coffee Lounge.
The cost is £11.50 inclusive of transport (Community Bus) and a cream tea served in the hotel. As we need to give the hotel numbers, can you please put your name on the list no later than 5th August and tick whether you would like transport or prefer to take your own car and can offer lifts.
The bus is limited to 11 people.

Methodist Women in Britain
The next MWiB District summer event is provisionally planned for 27th July and is to be held in the village of Broomall and Sound (3miles from Nantwich).
The event will have rainbow stalls – each Circuit being given its own colour. This colour for our Circuit is pink.
We will be very grateful if you could donate any good quality goods that are pink for the stall.
A Time for Silence and Comtemplation

Then join us for a time of quiet contemplative prayer in the old Circuit Office, Newcastle Methodist Church and experience the use of silence as a way of going deeper with God; as a way of reflecting on your journey and as a way of listening to God.
