SPECIAL NOTICES AND REQUESTS
Decorating the Christmas Tree.
Decorating the Christmas Tree will take place during the service on Sunday 3rd December .This year’s colour scheme is Gold. Please bring along a gold bauble to hang on the tree so we can transform the tree together. There will be a few available on the day at the front of the church should you forget.
Get knitting quick!! Countdown is on for the Christmas angels. All angels must be given in at the back of the church by Sunday 10th December, so they can be labelled ready for distribution through the village the following week, commencing 18th December.
Christmas Charity Appeal
This year’s appeal is in aid of Shropshire & Staffordshire Blood Bikes, a volunteer service providing transportation by motorbike of blood and other urgent items, for free, to NHS hospitals across the area. I hope you will support this charity by giving a donation instead of (or as well as!) sending Christmas cards to friends at church. There is a poster for you to sign on the notice board at the back of the church, plus information leaflets about the charity. Donations can be given to Ann Dixon or a Church Steward.
A Sincere Thank You.
A heartfelt thank you for the presentation of the lovely card, flowers and very generous leaving gift that I received a couple of Sundays ago: it was completely unexpected. I was and still am overwhelmed. It has been an honour and blessing to me to have been able to serve the families in our community over the last fourteen years. I have come to know so many wonderful people and so many lasting friendships have been made.
All this work could not have taken place without a loving, dedicated team of past and present volunteers who give their time so readily; their help is invaluable and I thank you all for your hard work, love and friendship.I am thrilled that Natalie is taking over; she is a lovely lady and is a perfect choice to continue the work in her own way and I send her all my very best wishes.
A final thank you to my lovely church family whose love and support have meant so much to me over the years and for the many kind words of thanks for my past work and encouragement I have received for my new working life.
Love always, Karen.
